Goiter Comics #6 (Mature)

Josh Pettinger's Goiter is the latest in the long line of one-person anthologies. Each issue contains a handful of stories and if you've been following him for the last few years, you know how incredible his work is. The bulk of the new Goiter #6 is made up of the story "Victory Squad," which tells the story of Michael, an unsatisfied worker in the shipping department of the corporation that has replaced the government. Everybody works there, and a helpful VR assistant monitors everything from when people urinate to when they need to exercise. Because he fails to conform to the company/government's joy expectation, he is demoted to returns, a department powered by the sweat of the workers. Literally. Josh's work, as always, displays a wry wit and an unflinching look at hypocrisy and suffering in the modern world. In addition to 20 pages of Victory Squad, Goiter #6 contains an 8-page stand alone short story.
