Dan Garrett is brought back from the dead by unnamed "gods", and becomes a CIB (Central Intelligence Bureau) agent. His first assignment is to trade crimeboss Terry Spencer for the kidnapped Ted Kord-- who's surprised to see Dan alive again!.
